Company Profile
Designs in Context celebrates our 42nd year of designing imaginative interiors in Northern Illinois and surrounding areas. Our beginnings were humble; principals Betsy Swank and Pam Rawles met through their children and found they shared common skills, goals and a passion for functional, affordable interior design.
In 1982, the partners started Designs in Context in a tiny office, with a single drawing board, one phone line and a lot of determination. Over the years, many things have changed: we now have a full-service showroom, and we use computers rather than pencils to help clients visualize what their completed projects will look like.
The basic principles, however, remain the same: We design imaginative interiors in the context of a client's personal preferences, their home's architectural identity and their budget. Our goal is to provide good design to improve how clients live and work within their surroundings, and we've been forging relationships with satisfied customers for more than thirty years.
I wouldn't change a thing. My new kitchen is everything I hoped for.
